Terms of Service

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of getjoshie.com and its related services (the "Service"), operated by [Joshie's legal entity name — TBD] ("Joshie," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What Joshie is

Joshie is an AI-powered opportunity intelligence tool. It generates personalized "launch path" business ideas, reviews ideas you submit yourself, and provides supporting research (business plans, tech stack recommendations, competitor maps) — all generated by AI based on publicly available information and the profile details you provide.

3. Not professional advice

Everything Joshie generates — scores, "reality checks," market data, competitor research, budget recommendations, business plans, and any other content — is AI-generated informational content. It is not financial, legal, business, investment, or professional advice of any kind, and it does not create an advisory relationship between you and Joshie. Joshie does not recommend securities, manage money, or provide investment advisory services.

AI-generated content, including content researched via live web search, can be inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete. We don't guarantee the accuracy of any score, market claim, competitor detail, or recommendation. You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information before acting on it or making financial decisions based on it — including consulting qualified professionals (accountants, lawyers, financial advisors) as appropriate.

4. Your account

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information when creating your account and profile.

5. Content you submit

When you describe an idea, upload a business plan or deck, or otherwise submit content to Joshie ("Your Content"), you retain all ownership rights to it. You grant Joshie a limited license to process, store, and display Your Content back to you solely to provide the Service (including sending it to our AI provider for analysis).

You represent that you own or have the necessary rights to submit whatever you upload or describe, and that doing so doesn't infringe anyone else's rights or violate any law.

6. Prohibited uses

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any illegal purpose, or to submit content you don't have the rights to.
Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract the Service's underlying prompts, models, or systems.
Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours.
Upload malicious files or content intended to harm the Service or other users.
Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

7. Joshie's intellectual property

The Service itself — including its design, branding, board-review methodology, and underlying software — is owned by Joshie and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms don't grant you any rights to Joshie's IP beyond what's needed to use the Service as intended.

8. Fees and payment

The Service is currently free to use in full (Phase 1). We plan to introduce paid tiers in the future, including a monthly subscription and one-time paid reviews for the My Idea feature. When paid tiers launch, pricing, billing terms, and a refund policy will be posted here and you'll be notified before any features you're using start requiring payment.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOSHIE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. JOSHIE IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY DECISIONS MADE BASED ON AI-GENERATED CONTENT FROM THE SERVICE, INCLUDING FINANCIAL LOSSES RELATED TO A BUSINESS IDEA PURSUED BASED ON JOSHIE'S OUTPUT.

10. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do; material changes will be communicated via the app or email.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [State — TBD, e.g. Texas], without regard to conflict of law principles.
